Half human, half vine, Dyan Marie’s Vine People are ambassadors for green action for better neighborhoods and a better city. Vine People mark sites of concerns, in public spaces, that need attention. Usually installed at sites, from dumping sites to brownfields, that need help, this poster further disseminate their call to action. After a recent misadventure with poison ivy this poster broadcasts “This image has been printed with poison ivy”.
Vine people are based on trees, plants and four species of vines indigenous to the Toronto area: Bittersweet, Virginia Creeper, Virgin’s Bower and Poison Ivy. In a recent misadventure with poison ivy they broadcast, “Vine people are not terrorists”.
