Description

Boo-Hooray and Fugitive Materials are pleased to present Opposition: Black Mask, Ben Morea, & U.A.W.M.F., an updated edition of the long out-of-print 2014 catalog dedicated to Morea’s political and artistic activities throughout the 1960s. Morea’s work engaged with the underground press, early performance art, experimental theater, and community organizing. Largely unknown by choice, Morea was the force behind the 1960s art/anarchist collectives Up Against the Wall Motherfucker and the International Werewolf Conspiracy, and the legendary anarchist zine Black Mask. Presented here is a complete facsimile reprint of Black Mask and nearly 100 flyers, broadsides, and publications from U.A.W.M.F. and adjacent radical formations, with introductions by Johan Kugelberg and Daylon Orr, and an interview with Morea conducted by Kugelberg.

Printed in an edition of 300.
