Description

Midori Mitamura pursues a practice of found drawing, tracing over parts of photos taken by others (found photos). Entering a library one is faced with a universe of knowledge. A lifetime is not enough to read all of these books, but we may feel here the goodness and dignity of human civilization somehow. As we turn the pages of a single book we often encounter photographs taken in order to bring visualization to written contents. It is this means of concentrating information in a single moment which Mitamura pursues in her work.

Softcover, colour.
