Art Metropole specializes in contemporary art in multiple format: artists books, multiples, video, audio, electronic media, and so on. We offer artists' products for sale on our premises and through this web site. We also publish, promote, exhibit and distribute artists' products in various formats. Art Metropole was founded in 1974 by the artists' group General Idea. Art Metropole is a not-for-profit corporation incorporated under the laws of the province of Ontario. Further information on our origins and our history can be found here.
