Aspects of Light Land and Sea

Time
7:00pm - 9:3

Oakland California based artist Chris Duncan will create an improvisational soundscape in response to a time lapsed video of the sun rising and setting with the vantage point from inside an abandon grain silo. Utilizing tuning forks and harmonicas, Duncan loops and layers tones and simple gestures to create lush textures.

Land and Sea editions will be available at Art Metropole.

Chris Duncan is a multidisciplinary artist based in Oakland California. With an interest in natural phenomena, light and shadow, Duncan experiments with a variety of means and material to ponder these effects. Outside of his studio practice he publishes books and records under the moniker LAND AND SEA with his partner Maria Otero. Chris recently earned his MFA from Stanford University.
